About Me
Like a lot of folks, I got into this work in part to find a way through my own struggles with challenging relationships, difficult life experiences and overwhelming emotions. Through my own experience as a therapy client at some difficult moments in my life, I was able to transform negative stories and beliefs from my past, and build a stronger and more resilient relationship with myself — though this relationship is an ever-change work in progress! I am constantly inspired along my own journey by the stories of strength, creativity and resilience that I witness in my work with clients. It is an honor and a source of strength and courage to be able to do this work.
My Approach
I became a therapist because I am happiest when connecting with others and hold endless curiosity about the human experience. I work with individual teens and adults, as well as couples, families and relationships in my practice. My approach is warm and playful, and I draw upon a range of techniques from compassion focused therapy, family systems therapy and somatic therapy, guided by each client's individuality. My work is trauma-informed and emphasizes building a strong relationship and sense of safety and connection with clients. I believe that therapy provides a space for individuals and families to enact their own healing and growth.
